Barrel Aged Imperial Stout Bottle release
About this Event

After resting for 30 months in bourbon barrels we are ready to introduce Rafiki’sRitual to the world!

This beer is the definition of decadence. Brewed at over 40 plato before the yeast started their work converting half of the sugar to alcohol, Rafiki’s Ritual weighs in at 12% ABV. Aromas of bourbon and chocolate jump out of the glass alongside sweet caramel and shortbread cookie. The mouthfeel is huge but not cloying with enough carbonation to increase the creaminess and help spread the flavor and aromas to every taste bud and olfactory receptor. Creme brulee, toasted marshmallow, brown sugar and coffee lead into a clean bourbon chapter that temporarily cleanses the palate. Just when you think the Ritual is complete, the sweet notes return with touches of roast and bourbon cask.

While this blend was a decadent journey on it’s own straight from the barrels we decided to accentuate a portion of Rafiki’s Ritual with a large amount of 3 types of cocoa and Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Beans. The cocoa was selected to compliment and contrast the flavors already present in the blend;

Fijian RakiRaki is known for its toffee, dark fruit and creme brulee notes with an assertive bitterness.

Wild Bolivian Tranquilidad also provides raisin notes and bitterness as well.

The WIld Bolivian Itenez, on the other hand, brings classic fudge notes with hints of leather and burnt sugar.

Are you ready for the Rite of Passage that is Rafiki’s Ritual?
