Raffles Place - Dawson Walk

About us:

We are an active walking community with about 13,000 members. We conduct regular walks every Thursday and alternate Saturday/Sunday afternoons. You can also find us at: https://www.meetup.com/i-walk-i-hike-i-eat-i-travel/ We have also been featured in the Straits Times.

Meet: Raffles Place MRT (NS26/EW14) Passenger Service Centre

Event communication will be through the event chat. Please check the event chat on the day of the event to stay updated on any changes.***

This is an all-weather event. Where there are thunderstorms, we will adjourn for coffee or early dinner. We will resume the walk once the rain subsides.

Please try to be punctual. There will be 5 minutes grace for attendance taking. Please remember that we cannot wait because this would be unfair to those already present.

This Meetup group is a community-led group by volunteers. Please extend grace in areas of inadequacy. You are most welcome to give constructive feedback; we strive for improvement!

Let's follow the Singapore River to its source and along the Alexandra Canal. Finally, we end in Dawson with a panoramic view of the surrounding area - just in time for sunset!

The Singapore River is approximately 3.2 kilometers long[3] from its source at Kim Seng Bridge to where it empties into Marina Bay; the river extends more than two kilometers beyond its original source at Kim Seng Bridge as Alexandra Canal, as far as the junction of Commonwealth Avenue.[4]

Dinner will be around the Dawson area.

Please be sure to RSVP responsibly to help those who are on the waitlist get the chance to come for the walks.

As a consideration to others, you should change your RSVP status the day before the event to allow those on the waitlist time to schedule for the event if you can't attend.
