Artistic Director Maria Bermudez invites you to learn from visiting artist, Rafael Campallo.
Rafael Campallo (Sevilla) is one of Spain's most celebrated flamenco dancers, renowned for his refined technique, extraordinary rhythmic precision, and commanding stage presence.
The workshop also includes live musicians who will join during the second hour.

RAFAEL CAMPALLO
He began studying flamenco at the age of 11 with legendary teachers José Galván and Manolo Marín, and by 16 was already performing professionally as a guest soloist throughout Spain and Japan.
Campallo rose to international prominence during the 1990s, appearing in the landmark production Azabache before joining the Andalusian Dance Company in 1996. His career reached another milestone in 1999 when he received the prestigious Premio Desplante at the International Cante de las Minas Festival in La Unión, one of flamenco's highest honors.
Throughout his distinguished career, Campallo has collaborated with many of flamenco's leading artists, including acclaimed guitarist Vicente Amigo and choreographer María Pagés. He has also created and toured numerous original productions, including Don Juan Flamenco (2004), Puente de Triana (2010), and Sangre (2014), earning acclaim for performances that blend traditional flamenco with powerful contemporary expression.
Known for his mastery of compás, elegant footwork, and deeply expressive artistry, Rafael Campallo is regarded as one of the foremost interpreters of the Sevillian flamenco tradition. In addition to his international performing career, he has mentored the next generation of artists as a faculty member of the prestigious Cristina Heeren Foundation in Seville.
