Freedom, at Last embraces the ultimate. Looming before us, action and life veiled by stillness. As we sit, silent, anticipating our last freedom, we find that our quest for freedom demands that we endure ourselves, the others, the State, the war, and ultimately the revolution.
The impetus for the work of ibodies is based on the fundamental insight that theatre – as an arena in which performance takes place – demands a unique and radical language that is useless and in the disservice of any agenda other than its own primacy as a form of language. As such, the poetics of awareness is an absolute given in their continued search for a radical scenic language.
ibodies are based in Gothenburg, led by Anmar Taha and Josephine Gray.

Freedom, at Last bejakar den sista väntan. Framför oss hägrar en stillhet som döljer aktion och liv. Alltmedan vi sitter, tysta, redo för vår sista frihet inser vi att vår strävan mot frihet kräver ett tillstånd av väntan att utstå oss själva, dem andra, Staten, kriget och till sist revolutionen.

RADIX is a platform where citizens, artists and scholars can re-examine the practice of theatre as radical. Since 2022 it has hosted a series of public lectures, talks and live performances on radicality in theatre as that which adhered an origin, or root – from the Latin radix. Theatre is here to be understood as the arena in which performance takes place. In this special edition of RADIX focus will be placed on performances onstage that find intimate ties with the concept of prophecy.
RADIX takes place March 22-29, with daily performances. Each evening is followed by a public talk with the audience that is optional to participate in/listen to. The program is subject to change, keep updated by checking the website.
RADIX is curated by Josephine Gray and Anmar Taha, artistic directors of IBODIES, and in co-production with Atalante.
