Rekid, on the other hand, slows the tempo to a thicker, moodier strain of groove, offering a more deliberate and soulful mid-week energy. His work with Joel Martin as Quiet Village wanders into sample-based, cinematic terrain, drifting between extended disco abstractions and atmospheric soundscapes. Meanwhile, Sea Devils pushes him closest to the pop realm, pairing sleek electronic production with radio-ready hooks.
Radio Slave remains his most iconic moniker, widely recognized in part for the cult-favorite fusion of Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” with New Order’s “Blue Monday.” This identity captures his skill as a DJ and editor, rooted in a philosophy formed during the early acid house era: music meant for dancing, not divided by scene or faction.
