Proto-punk + Punk + Post-punk showcase
Christchurch bands RADIO ON & OTHER VOICES join forces to perform an evening of classic Proto-punk, Punk and Post-punk songs.
Both bands will be covering songs that influenced the Punk Evolution from the late 60s Proto-punk through to mid 80s Post-punk.
Featuring artists such as;
Sex Pistols, The Clash, Ramones, Bowie, Buzzcocks, The Damned, Stiff Little Fingers, T-Rex, X-Ray Spex, Magazine, Joy Division, The Stooges, The Velvet Underground, Dead Kennedys, The Cure, PiL, Siouxsie & The Banshees plus more!
RADIO ON have been broadcasting Proto Punk and Punk classics to Otautahi audiences throughout 2024. The 5-piece band features the local legends Gene-Pool Belmondo on vocals and guitar and Mark Android on lead guitar and vocals. They pride themselves on delivering the music they grew up on with the reverence it deserves.
OTHER VOICES are a Christchurch based 4-piece Post-punk and indie covers band.
Featuring Penny Cain on Vocals/guitar/keyboards, Linda Baran on Bass, Nick Ford on Guitar/keyboards and Wade Byers on Drums/samples.
Performing solidly over the last 6 years OTHER VOICES have built up a loyal following and regularly sell out shows.
Come along and enjoy an evening of Proto-punk, Punk and Post-punk classics performed live!
