Radio 1 slaví 35 let od zahájení svého vysílání a zve posluchače na narozeninový večer, který vzniká ve spolupráci s klubem MeetFactory. Oslava svébytného a nezařaditelného rádia, které už více než tři dekády drží jasný směr, nabídne na počest dalších let narušování kulturních konvencí večer přesahující běžný hudební program.
Večer povede newyorská multidisciplinární umělkyně james K, jejíž loňské album Friend (AD 93) strhlo všeobecné nadšení fanoušků i kritiky díky originálnímu propojení hypnotických dream-popových struktur a trip hopu s důrazem na silnou písničkovou formu. james K je zároveň rezidentkou rádia NTS a její resumé hudebních spoluprací čítá jména jako Yves Tumor, Beta Librae či Drew McDowall. V MeetFactory se představila v roce 2023 s deskou Random Girl ve své pražské koncertní premiéře a po třech letech se tak vrací na místo činu.

Večer zahájí GbClifford & Tasya s pražskou premiérou audiovizuálního díla As if this breath were to be the last, které vypráví příběh o ztrátě a znovuobjevené naději – příběh o hledání cesty ven z bludného kruhu sebedestrukce a hlubin depresivní epizody.
Performance vznikla při příležitosti vydání alba Mock the world 2gether a poprvé byla představena na festivalu PAF.
Jak můžeme najít naději a upevnit půdu, na které stojíme? Jak můžeme uhasit smutek světa, ve kterém žijeme?

Radio 1 is celebrating 35 years since the launch of its broadcasting, inviting listeners to a very special birthday party produced in collaboration with MeetFactory. A celebration of a singular, genre-defying radio station that has maintained a clear direction for over three decades, the event marks the past and future years of disrupting cultural conventions with a night that goes beyond a standard music programme.
The evening is headlined by New York–based multidisciplinary artist james K, whose last year album Friend (AD 93) sparked widespread acclaim among fans and critics alike with its unique fusion of gauzy ambient-pop and trip hop, with a strong emphasis on effortless songwriting. james K is also a resident of NTS Radio, and her list of musical collaborations includes names such as Yves Tumor, Beta Librae, and Drew McDowall. After three years, james K is returning to MeetFactory where she first performed back in 2023 with the album Random Girl in her Prague concert debut.

The night will open with GbClifford & Tasya presenting the Prague premiere of As if this breath were to be the last, an audiovisual piece which tells a story of loss and rediscovered hope – a story of finding a way out of the vicious circle of self-destruction and the depths of depressive episode.
The performance was created as an extension of GbClifford's new album Mock the world 2gether, comissioned and first presented at PAF.
