About this Event
Join us for Radical Creatives: Film screening for the Emerson & Boston communities!
How do we unleash creativity and make it visible enough to truly change the world? Aalto University, like Emerson, views creativity as a non-negotiable core value. Their documentary, , explores the thrilling tension at a Finnish institution where tradition meets rebellion, weaving a visually unique story of students and faculty who battle self-doubt to harness a collective creative force. This film is a powerful call to action, showcasing the interdisciplinary and transformative nature of curiosity, creativity and innovation - the very core values that define the Emerson experience.
The full screening will be held in Emerson College’s Semel Theater @6pm on Wednesday November 19th, followed by a panel discussion with Emerson community members about the future of radical creativity at Emerson College and within the greater Boston community. The discussion will be led by Thomas Vogel, Professor of Marketing Communication at Emerson College, co-founder of mediaman, author of Breakthrough Thinking – A Guide to Creative Thinking and Idea Generation (2014) & co-author of the forthcoming book Creativity in the Age of Generative AI (Routledge Spring 2026).
