RACS VIC Preparation for Practice 2026

The Victorian Preparation for Practice is a two-day workshop is designed to provide Younger Fellows and Trainees with an overview of all the areas to consider when setting up their private practice, providing a provides information on practical skills, tips and advice to setting up private practice.

This comprehensive course will provide you with the essential tools, knowledge, and strategies, including financial management and marketing for setting up your own private practice. One of the highlights of this year’s event will be Candid Conversations: What I Wish I Knew. This will be a confidential and honest discussion led by recently established surgeons. No sponsors, no filters - just Fellows sharing their personal experiences navigating private practice.

*Dinner will be on Saturday 15 August at 6:30pm.

Participating in this activity will qualify for 8 CPD points in Educational Activities.
