This special read aloud provides opportunities for families to learn and grow together while engaging in compassionate conversation about race and racial justice. Register as a family https://events.tscpl.org/event/7069418.
Families: join us for a heartwarming, thought-provoking read aloud followed by conversations with trained racial justice facilitators. On September 29, we will read Milo Imagines the World by Matt de la Pena. While Milo and his sister travel to a detention center to visit their incarcerated mother, he observes strangers on the subway and draws what he imagines their lives to be.
This program is offered in collaboration with the YWCA Northeast Kansas. Register today to hold your space in the library's Lingo Story Room!
