On their first visit to the West Coast, the electrifying duo of Rachel Hair and Ron Jappy combine the Scottish harp with the acoustic guitar. Performing an exquisite mix of Scottish traditional music, they balance virtuosity with emotion, embracing the rich cultural tradition of Scotland, whilst charming audiences as they go.Rachel and Ron will perform one night only in Santa Cruz County on Thursday, May 2nd, at 7:30pm, presented by Community Music School of Santa Cruz. The performance will take place at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Scotts Valley. General admission tickets are $25 advance/$30 at the door. College students get in for $15, and kids under 18 for $10. Doors open at 7:00pm, and refreshments will be available during intermission.
WORKSHOPS FOR HARP AND FIDDLE PLAYERS will take place the following day, on Friday, May 3rd, at 4:30pm in the same location. Details available online at CommunityMusicSchool.org.
