About the book:
From the writer of the One Dark Window and Two Twisted Crowns -- a top backlist series for indies -- comes a new book with even darker worldbuilding and morally complicated characters.
Sybil Delling is a young prophetess who has spent nine years dreaming of a life without visions. As a Diviner, she receives prophetic dreams from six mysterious Omens, predicting disasters for those who seek her guidance. When Sybil and her fellow Diviners near the end of their service, a rude, heretical knight named Rodrick arrives at the cathedral, showing no respect for her powers. But when her sisters begin disappearing, Sybil must reluctantly team up with Rodrick to search for them, as only a heretic can challenge the gods who hold the answers she needs.
About the author:
Rachel Gillig is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of The Shepherd King series. If she’s not ensconced in blankets, dreaming up her next novel, Rachel is out walking in beautiful coastal California with her husband, son, and their dignified poodle, Wally.
