RACHEL DREW & ROB NEWHOUSE: Acoustic guitars, Everly Brothers-style close harmony. Rob Newhouse has played in many bands, including Chicago roots-pop favorite the Elvis Brothers, and continues to play with the wonderful Charming Axe, Laura Doherty, and others. He's recorded with Cyndi Lauper, and Rob is one of Steve Earle's early guitar heroes. Rob began teaching at Chicago’s famous Old Town School of Folk Music in 1998. Rachel Drew grew up in a musical household on the north side of Chicago singing 3-part harmony with her parents, getting lost in imaginary songs on the family piano, and dancing wildly to dusty classical records. She's now a mom, a prolific songwriter, a fixture in multiple Chicago groups and musical residencies, and a frequent close harmony singer on other people's records. She performs frequently with her originals band, in several duos, and sings with other originals bands like Peter Joly Group and The Imperial Sound (with members of Expo 76 and the New Duncan Imperials).
