Sharing stages with seminal musicians such as Sarah McLachlan, Rufus Wainwright, Shawn Colvin, Ani DiFranco and Judy Collins – with whom she recorded a critically-acclaimed duet – Sage’s career has been defined by a nose-to-the-grindstone DIY ethos, a passion for storytelling, and a vibrant, innovative sense of creativity. Through the years she has also expanded her boutique label MPress Records to release music by Grammy® nominated and Billboard-charting artists including Seth Glier, Melissa Ferrick, Grace Pettis, and K's Choice. A six-time Independent Music Award-winning musician and producer, Sage is also a John Lennon Contest Grand Prize winner who has performed at Edinburgh Fringe, SXSW, and toured globally from Japan to Berlin with her band The Sequins. Sage is also a visual artist and former ballet dancer who performed with New York City Ballet. A self-described “cancer thriver”, she is additionally a philanthropic advocate for diverse causes, including Foundation For Women’s Cancer, American Refugee Committee, and National Network For Youth.
