racecar lean into their retro-reverent, forward facing musical sensibilities to create emotionally impactful, frisson-inducing pop met with playful, genre-bending sophistication. Ahead of Pink Car’s official release, racecar will be releasing a string of new singles from the album throughout 2024, and will be launching their fourth single, Got You Into It, at this event, with a special line up and previously unheard material.
Gefahrgeist are an electronic pop act from Edinburgh. Combining Fiona Liddell’s haunting voice and intricate songwriting with Niall (Neel) Rae’s innovative production and arrangement, the duo have created a uniquely dark yet pop sound. For fans of Kate Bush, London Grammar, Zero 7 and Bonobo, their songs are often likened to going on a musical journey. Their debut single ‘Graceless’ was one of The Herald’s Top 100 Scottish Songs of 2020. They have since released four more singles to critical acclaim and are working on their debut album.
Bee Asha is a spoken word musician artist born and living in Edinburgh. Between Rap and Poetry her work is a cathartic outlet that she uses to explore her lived experiences. She began her journey in music as one third of the hip hop trio The Honey Farm, a Scottish female rap group who promote female confidence and egalitarian views. In 2019 Asha starred in the BBC Documentary, Spit it Out co-founded the award winning charity the following the year, The Spit it Out Project. Since, Asha released her first EP ‘From Girl to Men’, won the SAMA’s best newcomer in 2022, was featured in YWCA 30 under 30’s as well as two years running in the ListUK hot 100 and performing in venues across Europe. She is now working on a collaborative multi layered project, The Gitika Project, and released her first album in March, Goodbye Gracious.
