READ Alliance is an amazing nonprofit organization that works to improve literacy skills for under-resourced, early elementary students through the power of local Teen Leaders who act as one-to-one reading tutors.

READ’s dual-impact model both ensures early elementary students get critical reading support that is foundational to future academic success, and also promotes economic empowerment and professional development among teens in low-income areas. During the pandemic, READ has continued to support young students and teens, adapting their model to our new virtual world.
