Race to Ace

Race to Ace is Greensboro’s fun new charity event at Gillespie Golf Course supporting First Tee – Central Carolina. Gillespie Golf Course, Greensboro’s only municipal golf course, holds a deep connection with our nation’s Civil Rights history and today serves as home base to First Tee – Central Carolina whose programs empower kids and teens through life and golf skills instruction.

Race to Ace is fun for the entire family. The event begins with fun events for golfers and non-golfers of all ages, including a putting course, bounce houses, food trucks, beer garden and live music. Then we turn up the fun as we host the Race to Ace Shootout. Shootout teams will make their way onto the main stage and attempt to make an ACE for a huge payday and other great prizes.

Family Fun Day (12:00 PM - 2:00 PM)

• Family putting course
• Driving range
• Food trucks and beer garden (food and alcohol available for purchase)

Race to Ace Shootout (2:00 PM) - Sponsor teams will then make their way on to the main stage to try and make a hole in one for big prizes.

• Shootout is open for public viewing
• Only sponsor teams participate in the shootout
