Race, Place, and Grace: Origins - The Power of Personal Story (3/19)

This interactive workshop is designed to build bridges across diverse perspectives. Expect an engaging session filled with self-reflection, hands-on activities, and opportunities to connect with others in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Guided by Shannon, participants will consider their unique origin story, cultural influences, and lived experiences through writing exercises and group discussions.

Participants can expect to:

• Delve into the roots of their personal narratives to understand how these stories shape interactions with others.
• Learn practical tools for addressing conflict fatigue and strategies for recharging from burnout.
• Practice techniques for meaningful dialogue, active listening, and cultivating empathy in everyday interactions.

What to Bring

• A notebook and writing utensil.
• A willingness to share and listen with an open mind.
• Curiosity to explore new perspectives and challenge assumptions.

Doors open at 5 p.m. and workshop runs from 5:30-8 p.m. A selection of snacks and beverage will be provided to attendees.

This workshop is free, with a suggested donation option available when purchasing your ticket.
