RACE NIGHT

A FUNDRAISING Race NIght consists of eight races with eight horses per race on. These will be on a big screen at the Leith Dockers club selected randomly from a choice of DVD’s.

There will be 7 races where people have the opportunity to own each horse in the race for £5. before each race there will be an opportunity to be on each race.

For each race, the takings from the tote are split between the winners and the fund raiser. Usually this split is 50/50, so for example; if £100 is taken in bets then £50 will be split between the winning ticket holders and £50 to the fund-raise

RACE 8: AUCTION RACE: THE HORSE IN THE. FINAL RACE WILL BE AUCTIONED TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER.

The race goers receive a race card on arrival. They place bets on their chosen horse/s and receive tote tickets. A computerised tote system which calculates the payouts before each race starts and speeds up the process.
