Race for Grace Place is both a 5K and a Fun Run that supports Grace Place, a ministry at Galloway United Methodist Church in downtown Jackson, Mississippi. Grace Place serves the needs of people who are food insecure and provides breakfast 4 days a week, a clothing closet, worship opportunities, and celebrations. As followers of Jesus, the ministry of Grace Place is striving to build unlikely friendships between housed and unhoused, well-fed and hungry, and those of varied life circumstances.
By participating in this fundraiser, you will help sustain Grace Place and the community it serves.
Onsite registration opens at 7 am. The 5K Run/Walk will start at 8 am with a 1-mile Kids' Fun Run and a Tot Trot (ages 4 and under) following at 9 a.m. There will also be opportunities to tour The Foundery, where Grace Place is housed, and partake in the Grace Place Art Show.
