Next meetup, we turn to the poet, philosopher, and Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore (1861–1941). Best known internationally for his poetry, Tagore was also a profound thinker on the human spirit, creativity, and the search for meaning. His thoughts inspired thinkers across the globe, from Einstein to W.B Yeats to Gandhi. In The Religion of Man (1931), Tagore lays out a vision of spirituality that is not tied to dogma or institutions, but rooted in the creative spirit and the fullness of human life. He speaks of humanity’s “surplus,” that reaches beyond survival toward art, love, and unity with the universe. The work combines poetic language, religious reflection, and philosophical exploration, offering an inclusive idea of the divine as something realized in human creativity and fellowship rather than created from above.
While you are obviously welcome to read as much of the book as you want, during the meetup we will discuss Chapters 1, 2, 3, 5 and 13 in order to keep the reading to a reasonable length. These chapters total about 75 pages. The book can be downloaded through the link

Everyone is welcome. Hope you want to join us in our discussion about this work and about spirituality and meaning =)
