We are delighted to have the great R.J. MISCHO make his debut at the East Bay Blues Showcase at The Monkey House. Raag & Norton will perform the opening set. Reservations are now available via [email protected]. Admission is a $30 sliding-scale donation; doors open at 7 p.m. As always, Monkey House events are BYOB and you save money.
R.J. Mischo is a world-renowned blues singer, harmonica player and band leader. R.J.’s music combines originals and obscure gems, creating an exciting mix of grooving boogies, bump and grind shuffles, and Chicago Blues. R.J. is endorsed by Hohner Harmonicas, has released nearly a dozen albums and can be heard on 21 additional CDs as a guest or on compilations with Jimmie Vaughan, James Cotton, G. Love, James Harman, Kim Wilson, Candye Kane, John Mayall and others.
In addition to fronting his own band, R.J. has been hired to play in bands alongside Grammy Award-winning Pinetop Perkins, Willie “Big Eyes” Smith, Jimmy Thackery, Earl Cate, Junior Watson, and more.
