For aspiring data science enthusiasts and students seeking to enhance their data analysis skills, BUP Economics Club, in partnership with the Department of Economics, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), presents the R-Powered Workshop. This two-day training programme will take place on 16th and 17th November at Bijoy Auditorium, featuring industry experts from leading organizations as instructors.
The workshop aims to equip participants with practical knowledge of R, a programming language widely used for statistical computation, and RStudio, an integrated development environment for statistical analysis, data management, and visualization. The sessions will cover R and RStudio fundamentals, arithmetic operators, logical expressions, common functions, vector and matrix operations, conditional statements and loops, built-in packages, data management, probability distributions, data visualization, and descriptive statistics.
In today's data-driven world, proficiency in statistical software and data visualization is increasingly valuable across academic research and professional sectors. From econometrics and social science research to business analytics and data science, R provides essential tools for evidence-based analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making. This workshop will help participants strengthen their analytical capabilities and develop practical, career-relevant skills, while the opportunity to earn a certificate will add further value to their academic and professional profiles.
The workshop is open to undergraduate students across the country who are interested in developing their data analysis skills.
