Quilting Workshop Series
ArtLink Studio
This quilting workshop is a four-class series designed to guide participants through the fundamentals of quilting while building skills step by step. Meeting every other Tuesday, this course allows time between classes to practice techniques and gain confidence as your quilt comes together.
This workshop is ideal for beginners as well as those with some sewing experience who want to strengthen their quilting skills in a supportive, hands-on environment.

What You’ll Learn:
Class 1: Foundations of Quilting
• Learn common quilting terminology (“quilt speak”)
• Measuring techniques
• Fabric cutting techniques
Class 2: Piecing & Precision
• Sewing even seams
• Matching corners
• Squaring the quilt and adding borders
Class 3: Quilting Your Project
• Quilting techniques
• Discussion of quilting options and batting (Batting is not needed until this class)
Class 4: Finishing Touches
• Sewing binding
• Finishing your quilt
Supply List (Guests Should Bring)
• Two complementary colors or patterns of cotton blend fabric
– Fabric #1: 4 yards
– Fabric #2: 2 yards
• Thread that matches your fabric
• Batting, 44 inches by 60 inches (We will discuss batting options during the first class; this item is not needed until Class #3)
• Large fabric scissors
• Ruler (at least 12 inches long) - optional
• Fabric pins
• Fabric marking pen
