In this workshop we'll make "quilt squares" using vintage postcards for a cool art piece to hang on the wall. Participants will have multiple quilt block patterns to choose from. Participants can choose their favorite and "piece" them up using vintage postcards cut into the different shapes needed. This is a very beginner friendly course - no sewing experience needed, but we will be using sewing machines to put everything together.
This project can also easily be done with other types of postcards (such as those collected on vacations or sent from friends), or any medium to heavy weight paper making this a fun way to create memory art or as a new way for mixed media or visual artists to use up some of that art paper in a new way.
