Quench at CIA at Copia: New Cool/Old School Wines

Join Andrea and Ed Feuchuk of Tank Garage Winery for a taste of new "cool kid" wine styles, based on old-school classics. Napa meets Italy with: méthode ancestrale, a technique dating back to the 1500s (Tank Garage's Pink Motel and the still-unreleased Bastard Love Child against a classic Lambrusco di Sorbara), and appassimento, a Roman-era technique (Tank Garage's Aurea Dea against a Vin Santo and an Amarone). Centuries-old methods, new-school twists, side by side so you can taste the continuity, the variations, and the endless fun pairing possibilities.

For guests attending in person, this experience will also be paired with a “Taste of The Grove” – a sample of a dish from The Grove Restaurant curated by our former CIA student and Michelin-starred chef.

Speaking of food: Erik Swanson, Tank Garage's assistant winemaker, may even be in the show kitchen for a demo.

Wines included:

  • 2025 Tank Garage Winery “Pink Motel” Lodi AVA

Participate in this monthly podcast with Master Sommelier Andrea Immer Robinson

This is not a standard wine tasting. This is a masterclass in gastronomy.

While Napa offers hundreds of tasting experiences throughout the Valley, it is almost unheard of to have direct, intimate access to talent of this caliber in a single evening. This is your opportunity to bypass the standard tasting room script and learn directly from seasoned hospitality professionals.
