Join us for the European premiere of Quemar las patas del imperio ("To Burn the Feet of the Empire"), followed by an interdisciplinary discussion on the political dimensions of time in Nahua communities of Central Mexico.
Through film, dialogue, and critical reflection, the event explores Nahua cosmology, colonial histories, migration, resistance, resilience, and decolonial visions of the future. Featuring professor and artist Federico Cuatlácuatl, anthropologist Dr. Adolfo Mantilla, and Prof. Dr. Robert Folger, with moderation by Dr. Ute Schüren.
