About this Event

Intention of this space: A community meeting space for people who have/are queering their relationship with their uterus. A space for sitting together, learning, sharing, integrating, and honoring. To hold wisdom and witness each other in that wisdom. To call in and be with the wisdom of our bodies, spirits, ancestors, and the land.

This is a phone-free space. Please silence or turn your phone off upon entering.
Let’s define:

Queering- coming out of and questioning normative/dominant ways of relating with gender, sexuality and consequently, one's body and relationships. An active practice of sensing + living your authenticity, inside and out.

Uterus- We will be focusing on personal experience of our own bodies through anatomy, visualization, sensory awareness and ancestral connection. We will be talking about both physical and energetic experiences of the uterus.

Lineage- The people, cultures, land, practices, and spirits that have brought us here and made our lives possible. We continue to grow from and through these connections. Recognition of our ties, living and passed, re-members us into a great(er) community, life's cycles, and aligned responsibility.

The Facilitators:

mars/Marina Eskina accompanies folks going through transformations. They are a somatic bodyworker, trauma-informed practitioner, and one who listens to land, ancestors and spirit. mars specializes in abdominal techniques and uterus care learned from the Masawal Maya lineage, Somatic Experiencing, and Massage. Overtime they've come to see that many uterus complexities seem to be connected with boundary ruptures in the personal body and through the lineage. They are interested in anatomy, physical body care + joy and the gifts/wisdoms of our uteruses and lineages.

Shosh is a trans/queer ancestor medium, spiritual mentor, and Reiki Master teacher. Their framework for spiritual development locates the intersecting space between spiritual and social justice work, focusing on communal elevation and connection with the Earth. Shosh has specific interest in lineage healing, embodiment, and teaching others how to trust themselves and their spiritual knowing.

Community Practices for our shared space
1) Share and listen from your heart. Speak from the "I".
2) No advice unless explicitly asked for.
3) Take care of and trust yourself compassionately.
Access needs This event will take place inside Guided Flame spa and is currently capped at 15 folks plus 2 facilitators. There is a small parking lot out front, and if needed some street parking on the side blocks. To get inside the spa there is a curb a few inches high, and a slightly raised lip at the door to the spa. There is a bathroom available.

Exist in this space in a way that feels comfortable for you and feel free to stim, get up, walk around, lay down. Talk or not talk.
$10-20 per person. No one turned away for lack of funds if you can't pay.

Our first offering description: In this first session we are practicing holding a container with our well ancestors, their wisdom, and the wisdom of our bodies to be with the experience of living with a uterus.
