In this class we will challenge and reshape traditional storytelling norms through the lens of LGBTQ+ perspectives. Together we will
explore how queer identities, experiences, themes, and histories
can redefine narrative structures in prose. We will investigate
how to craft compelling stories that authentically reflect diverse
identities. Whether you’re interested in writing fiction, memoir,
or creative nonfiction, this class invites you to explore the
transformative power of queerness in shaping contemporary
literary writing.
This course is designed for young-adult writers ages 13-18!
This Arts & Culture Vibrant Storefronts is funded, in part, by the City of Minneapolis Arts & Cultural Affairs Department.
