Queer Soup Night at Alkali Rye

Queer Soup Night is an event that honors and celebrates queer food community and culture in the Bay, prioritizing Queer and Trans People of Color.

• Sliding Scale Ticket: There is a sliding scale suggested donation of $10-20. We will accept cash or Venmo at the entrance. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
• Venue Information: This event will be indoors. The venue is street level and there are no steps required to access the event, but there will be a second level available with stairs for additional space. Soup will be served on both levels. There are two restrooms on the street level, and seating areas will be available throughout the space.
• Proceeds: After reimbursements for food expenses and stipends to the soup creators and photographer, 100% of the donations collected from Queer Soup Night will go to the beneficiary.
• Transportation: There are several bus stops blocks away from the venue; see actransit.gov for a trip planner.
• Sustainability: We encourage guests to bring their own bowl and spoon. Compostable wares and utensils will be provided as well.
• Scents and Chemicals: We encourage folks to arrive low-scent/fragrance-free.
• Photography: A photographer will be present to capture the event. If you do not want your picture taken, we will provide a way for you to opt-out at check-in.
• This event is all-ages!
