Queer Quilting: Stitching Love & Solidarity

This is a hands-on workshop where we’ll explore the art of hand-sewn patchwork while reflecting on the power of queerness. Using scrap fabrics, we’ll stitch small quilted coasters. As we sew, we’ll hold space for conversations about the importance of protecting and uplifting queerness in all its forms. 

No prior sewing experience is needed. We'll provide the textile scraps, needles and thread. We will go over basic hand stitching techniques with an opportunity to learn creative stitches as well.

You’ll leave with your own handcrafted patchwork coaster and hopefully a deeper connection to resilience stitched with queer love.
