queer quilting Patch Camp
About this Event
WORKSHOP DATES: AUG 15 & 29, SEPT 12 & 26, OCT 10 (2-4pm)
This workshop series is designed for those who want more step-by-step instruction (with plenty of encouragement to improvise) learning multiple patchwork blocks. We will meet everyo otehr Saturday- each class we will make a new quilt square together and you will take home your patchwork and instructions for how to make it again. The complexity of the patterns will increase over the four classes, and in the fifth class you will arrange your squares into a finished quilt top.
We meet every Sunday afternoon in May for five sessions. Any level of experience (including none) is welcome. Shared sewing machines are provided, along with a stash of fabrics with endless options to choose from. If you are unable to make it to any of the sessions, you will receive the instructions by email. Some participants will make four squares, some will make many more depending on the speed they work and if they spend time outside of class. So everyone will end up with a quilt top that is uniquely theirs.
