Last and final hike of the 2026 series! You made it!
We will be finishing off the season with a beautiful 4.2 mile loop on the Twin Oaks Pine Lick trail in the Green Ridge State Forest in Flintstone, MD. (Don’t be discouraged, you can do it!)
We will be meeting at the Twin Oaks Pine Lick Loop trailhead on the Alltrails app:

After the hike (1:30-2pm?), we are planning to grab some drinks and food at Locust Post Brewery to celebrate the completion of our hiking season! We will be discussing feedback on the trails, meetups, and dates of hikes from the 2026 season; new trails and ideas for 2027; as well as pre-planning a future camping and/or outdoor winter event for those interested. The brewery is located in Little Orleans, ~15-20 mins from the Twin Oaks trailhead. Everyone is welcome to the brewery for the afternoon, whether you hiked for the day or not!
The regular hiking disclaimers: Come PREPARED with proper footwear, clothing, bug spray, etc. for trail conditions/weather. BRING WATER TO STAY HYDRATED. While it will be warm outside, there are lots of trees to keep cool in the shade.
A First Aid Kit will be provided, but remember: YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR PREPAREDNESS AND SAFETY.
Meetup time is 10AM, leaving promptly at 10:15AM. Please RSVP and arrive ON TIME so you are not left behind. Contact Mack (719-208-6593) to communicate updates on your RSVP/arrival on the day of the hike (cell service permitting).
Weather updates and hike cancellation will be announced Saturday (10/3) prior to the hike. The rain date for this hike and brewery outing will be the following Sunday (10/11).
Dogs are allowed, if leashed. Please RSVP your pet, so we can coordinate doggy meetups and greetings at the trail head. Make sure you BRING ENOUGH WATER FOR BOTH YOU AND YOUR PET.
