EN In Bhaji on the Beach, a group of women of Indian descent take a trip together from their home in Birmingham to the beach in Blackpool. The women vary in age, from hormonal teenagers to bitter older women. Initially they have little in common, but the events of the day lead them to mutual understanding and solidarity.
Bhaji on the Beach is the first British feature film written and directed by a woman of Indian descent.

Entre adolescentes délurées, et vieilles dames conservatrices, toutes celles qui font le voyage sont tiraillées entre la tradition de leur culture et leur désir d’indépendance.
Bhaji on the Beach est le premier long métrage anglais écrit et mis en scène par une femme d’origine Indienne et offre une perspective singulière sur la culture indienne immigrée.
