About this Event

Join us at Gerber/Hart for our first Queer History Open Mic on Thursday, July 30th, at 6:30 PM, for a night of queer history and community storytelling where participants are invited to share short pieces inspired by queer history in all its forms.

Got a queer story you can’t stop thinking about? An old flyer, photograph, diary entry, rumor, heartbreak, victory, or piece of local lore? Bring it to the mic!

After registering participants will be emailed two weeks prior to the event to register for a spot on the mic if they would like to present. People who identify as BIPOC, disabled, trans or non-binary, or with another identity that isn't centered within the queer community will be prioritized on the mic.

Space is limited, so the first 30 people who register on Eventbrite will be admitted.

Listeners are welcome, and no expertise is required!
