The Queer Heritage and Collection Symposium aims to explore the innovative and meaningful queer heritage practice being developed by cultural organisations across the UK and beyond. It will include presentations from open submissions and invited keynote speakers and panels.

Location: National Trust - Heelis, Swindon
The symposium will showcase innovative, experimental and emerging approaches to researching and publicly presenting queer histories, lives and communities.

The Queer Heritage and Collections Network is formed of a partnership between National Trust, English Heritage, Historic England, Historic Royal Palaces and Research Centre for Museums and Galleries (University of Leicester) supported financially by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
The Queer Heritage and Collections Network aims to achieve a step change in the capacities and confidence of everyone who works with LGBTIQA+ heritage (including museums and heritage bodies) by supporting them to be world leading in the way they use heritage to increase public understanding of, access to, and engagement with LGBTIQA+ heritage.
