Queer Flash Writing Workshop (Donation-Based)

Calling all queer writers (if you can write, you’re a writer—all experience levels welcome!) In this workshop, we will cover the basics of flash fiction and creative nonfiction writing, read a piece together, and then workshop our own. Each of us WILL come away with at least a draft of a piece of writing, and we’ll have time to share with the group. Please bring your own writing materials if you want them, otherwise notebook paper and pencils will be provided.

About the organizer: Sweetfern is an anarchist lesbian writer, from occupied Ojibwe land in so-called Wisconsin. They have a BA from Warren Wilson College and are currently a substitute teacher in the Philadelphia public school system. Their writing focuses on environmentalism, pandemic justice, and queerness, and is available at ko-fi.com/sweetfernwrites.
