Rocky? GAY. Bull Durham? GAYER. Rudy? DON'T EVEN GET US STARTED. Basically every movie about sports is queer as hell. Cuz all sports movies (yes, even whatever one you're thinking of) are about improving your current shitty situation, finding a community, and overcoming the odds. RIGHT? Those are all themes that we as the queers have been practicing all our lives!
We're not sure how it took us this long to theme a QFT night on this topic either, so we're making up for it with a special beautiful night of new and old queer film "professors" who will be sharing their favorite sports movie memories that helped them know that movies were for them.
It's gonna be a ton of fun, we'll learn some new things about each other, and there will likely be some (consensual) butt slaps. You in?
