Join us for the very first Queer Connect Social 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ a brand new event series created to bring our LGBTQIA+ community together.
Every Queer Connect Social will shine a spotlight on inspiring LGBTQIA+ people making waves in our community, from artists and authors to creators, entrepreneurs, organizations, and local businesses. Our goal is simple: create welcoming spaces where our community can meet, make friends, support one another, and celebrate queer talent.
For Chapter One, we’re thrilled to welcome Rosie Turner, author of Girlfriend Material, and Matt Bays, author of How to Find and Keep a Gay Man. They'll share short readings from their books + an honest, funny, and refreshingly real conversation about modern queer love, dating, and relationships. Expect relatable stories, plenty of laughs, & maybe even a few spicy tips for queer love 🌈🌶
This event is hosted at Plumas & Flores, Porto’s LGBTQ, woman owned natural wine & garden bar. Their beautiful space is the perfect setting to gather, connect, and celebrate our community while supporting a fantastic local queer-owned business 💖
Whether you’re happily partnered, navigating the dating world, celebrating chosen family, or simply looking to meet new people, this evening is for anyone who wants to connect with the local LGBTQIA+ community.
After the readings, stick around to mingle over a glass of natural wine or a non-alcoholic beverage, meet Rosie and Matt, get a copy of their book, and spend the evening in the garden getting to know fellow members of Porto’s queer community.
