YWCA Kalamazoo, our partners, and dedicated community members like you are continuing to forge a path forward in the fight for peace, justice, and equity in uncertain times with our ongoing Community Solidarity Sessions.
Join us Friday, January 17 from 9:30AM to 11:30AM at our Dr. Grace Lubwama Administration Building for the first Queer Coffee Hour solidarity session.
This inaugural gathering, inspired by the LGBTQIA+ Rights breakout session, marks the beginning of an exciting initiative to create ongoing Queer Coffee Hours. During this meeting, participants will collaboratively design the framework for these gatherings, determining the most effective formats, locations, and schedules to foster community connection and engagement. As a space that centers and uplifts LGBTQIA+ voices, this meeting will be led by members of the LGBTQIA+ community, ensuring their needs and perspectives remain at the forefront. Allies are warmly welcomed to join as co-conspirators in this effort, contributing their support to build an inclusive, affirming, and action-driven environment. Together, we aim to establish Queer Coffee Hours as a vital resource for community, and solidarity.
