Queer Clothing Mods! -- a series of three workshops with the aim of empowering trans and gender diverse people with the skills required to make gender-affirming alterations to their own clothing.
Come along to learn everything from concept communication to machine sewing! All three workshops will be facilitated by Lorelai ig: @lorelaiengstrom
Workshop one will be about understanding shape, colour, cut, fit, pattern, & balance -- learning the fashion rules and choosing which ones you want to break!
Workshop two will be a more hands-on lesson on the basics of machine sewing, we will be making tote-bags as our beginner sewing project.
Workshop three thrusts your new skills into action! -- bring a piece of your own clothing that you would like to learn how to fix or alter and explore that process in a guided environment.
Free to attend as part of Winter Glow, a local celebration of rainbow pride, with support from Albert Eden Local Board.
