About this Event
Glad Day Lit presents... Queer Film Crash Course, a series of screenings showcasing iconic queer films! Whether it's your 1st or 100th watch, join us for FREE screenings of movies that have shaped queer pop culture.
This week's movie is Paris is Burning (1990):A chronicle of New York's drag scene in the 1980s, focusing on balls, voguing and the ambitions and dreams of those who gave the era its warmth and vitality.
This is a FREE event but if you RSVP it helps us plan our layout.
ACCESSIBIITY INFO
The entrance, washrooms and space are wheelchair accessible and there is an elevator between floors.
IF THERE IS HEAVY SNOW:
MOBILITY DEVICE ACCESSIBILITY : IMPORTANT ALTERNATIVE due to snow(this is a note for people in wheelchairs, scooter, with walker or folks who cannot do more than 2 stairs)
While our front door and the inside of the space is accessible, the snow has impacted the path to the front door through the park and from Lisgar Street. So here is the accessible alternative:
You can access our front door by going through the condo next door. Drop off and pick up: 21 Abell Street. This is the west side door to the condo. To get to Glad Day, go through the condo lobby and then out the north/left (main) door, you are then at Glad Day.
For Wheeltrans pick-up you should also give them 21 Abell as the pick-up address. You can wait in the heated condo doorway and watch for their arrival.
