Gather your loved ones, stoke the fire, and feast on songs for a falling empire. On Sunday November 22nd, Queer Choir is back at the WOW Hall with an evening of music about what we grow together and what we refuse to accept. Come hear (and join in on!) songs of resistance and songs of seeding new worlds, sung by our choir of audaciously queer, trans, and gender-expansive voices in harmony.
Queer Choir is thrilled to share the night with three acts we love. HomoPhonic, Eugene's gayest contemporary a cappella group, brings their signature blend of intergenerational queer joy and pop vocal music. Tender Desertrat writes pensive and playful songs that feel like finding shapes in the clouds and stories in your blood, joined by Berkley, Digit, and Aaron (The Mischief). And Deer Woman, the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Sara Billdt, weaves industrial and electronic body music with melodic vocals: a soundtrack for the empire falling apart, and a ritual summoning what we're building next.
Come hungry for musical nourishment. Leave fed by the magic of queers in community and song.
