About this Event
🎨 Queer Art as Resistance: Art Making with the Chroma Community 🌈
Join us this March for an evening of creativity, connection, and community with Haeden Peaslee (they/them) — a white, genderqueer, transmasculine, and neurodivergent potter and Registered Art Therapist based in Lowell.
Through their work at Lowell Makes and their therapy practice, Haeden explores themes of queer and trans joy, visibility, and resilience. This special gathering invites us to create art together while reflecting on how creativity can build hope, community, and resistance.
✨ What to Expect:
• Brief introduction and community welcome
• Warm-up activity: Exquisite Corpse collaborative drawing
• Main activity: Create characters or creatures representing queer and/or trans hope, community, visibility, or resistance
• Small and large group sharing
🎨 Art materials will be available, but feel free to bring your favorite supplies if you have a preferred medium.
🍽️ Free food will be provided!
⚠️ RSVP is required to attend.
Come create, connect, and celebrate queer creativity with the community.
