About this Event
The Queensland Mental Health Week Achievement Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of individuals, groups and organisations working tirelessly to reduce stigma and support and empower those living with mental illness.
Open Minds has proudly hosted the QMHWAAs since its inception in 1996 - and is delighted to be celebrating its 26th year in 2022.
The Breakfast Ceremony falls on Queensland Mental Health Week, and is renowned for being the flagship event of the week.
There are 11 award categories and each of our finalists have shown dedication and commitment to improving the lives of those with mental illness, and now it's their time to be recognised!
Join the Ceremony to witness us celebrate our finalists and to unveil the winner of each category. The overall winner will receive the prestigious Earle Duus Award and a $4,000 prize to continue their great work in the mental health sector.
Your ticket purchase includes reserved seating, breakfast and gift.
With a consistently strong number of nominations following our record-breaking event in 2021, the 2022 Achievement Awards breakfast ceremony continues the proud Awards tradition.
Open Minds would like to thank our 2022 event sponsors: headspace, Check Up, Rio Tinto, The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), Queensland Council for LGBTI Health, Richmond Fellowship Queensland (RFQ), Queensland Health, WorkCover Queensland, Queensland Alliance For Mental Health (QAMH), Health + Wellbeing Queensland, and the Office of Industrial Relations.
