About this Event

Overview

Hosted by The Royal Historical Society of Queensland, the Queen's Wharf Precinct Heritage Tour involves a guided tour of 2 hours through the area where Brisbane first began! The tour will begin and end at the Commissariat Store Museum, and a ticket for the precinct tour also includes entry into the museum to visit either before or after.

Some buildings which will be included in the tour is the DPI Building, the site of Pettigrew's Sawmill, Parliament House, the Queensland Club, the Treasury Building, and more. For history buffs and enthusiaists, this is an opportunity which cannot be missed!



Note

It is the attendee's responsibility to ensure that they are physically fit and able to walk an average of three kilometres. We strongly encourage all attendees to wear sun-smart clothing including hats, long sleeves if necessary, sunblock, and to bring water.


If Tuesdays are not possible for you, you may email us at [email protected] with a request for a tour another day. If we receive sufficient demand, we may open other days for regular tours. Availability outside of Tuesday is subject to volunteer tour guides' discression.
