On Wednesday June 26, we are showing Queen of Glory, a 2021 American comedy directed by Nana Mensah. It offers a fresh and authentic portrayal of a second-generation Ghanaian-American woman named Sarah. When her mother passes away, Sarah inherits her family’s Christian bookshop in the Bronx. The personal nature of the narrative gives the film its heart, while Mensah’s eye for life’s messy complications infuses it with spirit.
Doors & bar open at 7pm, with the film starting at 7.30pm. Also open to non-members (£5).
