This quarter Mania will be supporting Sea Scouts Ship 550

Sea Scouts is a co-ed program of Scouting America and, in our opinion, one of the most exciting High Adventure programs available to youth ages 14 to 21. We also offer a program for younger youth between the ages of 11 -13 to get acquainted with the program.

Our program gives young people opportunities to experience sailing, kayaking, cruising, snorkeling, swimming, camping, hiking, and many other outdoor adventures. In addition to time on and around the water, Sea Scouts participate in structured leadership development, seamanship instruction, and meaningful community service while living by the values and principles of Scouting.

Ship 550 has proudly served Long Beach, Alamitos Bay, and the surrounding communities for many years. The Ship has a long and respected history within the Long Beach Area Council and remains committed to providing youth with adventure, leadership opportunities, practical maritime skills, lasting friendships, and experiences they will remember for a lifetime.
