About this Event

The Three Day Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) FREC 3 Requalification is for those who already hold a valid in-date First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) or Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care qualification and wish to renew that qualification.

This Qualification is running over three non-consecutive days:

  • Monday 17th April 2023
  • Thursday 20th April 2023
  • Friday 21st April 2023


Qualification Summary

The aim of the Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) FREC 3 Requalification award is to enable learners to requalify with the knowledge and competencies needed to work as a First Responder. It is ideal for those who wish to work within the Event Medical Sector, or as a stepping stone to working within the private medical world in roles such as Patient Transport. It replaces the Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care Requalification.



Who Should Take This Qualification ?

You should take this qualification if you are working (or plan to work) within the private medical sector. It is ideal for those working within the event environment, but can also be suitable for those looking for Patient Transport work or COVID swabbing (with additional training). Your should already hold a valid, in-date Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) FREC 3 qualification or Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care.

The First Response Emergency Care (Level 3) FREC 3 (Requalification) is also recognised by the HSE as meeting the requirements for First Aid at Work.



Prerequisites

To attend the Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) FREC 3 Requalification you must already posses a valid, in-date First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) qualification or Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care.

We will require to see you current certificate before you start the Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) FREC 3 Requalification to confirm eligibility. If you do not meet these criteria then you will need to complete the full 5 day First Response Emergency Care (Level 3) FREC 3.

You will be required to complete practical activities & assessments during the Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) FREC 3 Requalification.

You do not need good literacy skills to complete the Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) FREC 3 Requalification, but there will be a multiple choice papers and written activities to complete during the training. Should anyone experience difficulties with this style of assessments some can be completed verbally in certain circumstances. Please contact us for further details.

Learners must be at least 17 years old on the first day of the training.



What Will I Learn ?

The Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) FREC 3 Requalification has 1 unit with 3 mandatory components that Learners are required to complete in order to achieve the qualification. These will cover Patient Assessment and Management, Emergency Trauma and Focused Emergency and Urgent Care.
