An (digital) evening of ux, career coaching, and networking with other QTBIPOC designers
About this Event

Are you looking to dive into UX as a career?

Do you want to spend your evening with other QTBIPOC designers?

We will be hosting an evening of UX, career coaching, and networking with our QTBIPOC design community.

Our schedule for 2020:

10/20/20: UX career coaching (roadmaping, visioning, and making dreams a reality) with guest speaker: artist extrordinaire, Sterling! (website, Instagram)

Sterling is an artist and designer of trans and queer experiences. Their history with sexuality, gender, and mental health inspires them to create work that speaks on what is required for humans to show up authentically in this world. They specialize in playful and colorful work that is informed by the past, but also explores how we can know old constructs in new ways. Through authentic expression they create spaces that facilitate healing, and call into question frameworks that no longer serve the collective.

11/17/20: Sketch masterclass (get your sketch application ready to learn new skills)

12/15/20: End of the year closing party!

Our session will be divided into to parts:

First hour: education + Q&A

Second hour: networking + office hours

This session will be hosted digitally on Zoom. Spaces limited. RSVP for invite.

Your host: Steven Wakabayashi

Steven has led strategy and creative for the biggest companies in the world, including Apple, Alibaba, Walmart, Samsung, MasterCard, Sephora, and Salesforce. He currently runs his own independent agency, Stranger Creative, consulting agencies and clients on digital initiatives. He is also the founder of QTBIPOC Design and host of Yellow Glitter, a podcast on mindfulness for queer Asians.
